Nancy O'Dell's debut work in the industry of broadcast was as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a the morning news anchor as well as a the crime reporter at WCBD TV. O'Dell's stories in Charleston regarding the police's tolerance when it comes to DUI cases prompted a State Law Enforcement Division to investigate.
